Peachey's Bar & Grill

Brilliant staff who are very welcoming, food came out perfectly cooked and tasted amazing, would definitely recommend if you're looking for a nice dinner in the heart of york. The restaurant/ hotel itself was beautiful also. Thank you to the staff for a lovely evening

The bar is great - albeit a little dark it didnt bother us - great atmosphere. The restaurant though, was more set in a function room - however dont let that detract you from great food - short ribs, steak, soups although avoid the cheese - there was too much of it!! Excellent service from the staff.

We ate at Peachey’s the first evening of our stay at The Milner and unfortunately, we wouldn’t recommend it or return. We each had a burger and halfway through were questioning whether it was even a real burger because the texture was awful. A really bland burger and a basic portion of fries with the smallest pot of coleslaw. For £20 each, definitely not worth the money. Only thing positive is that it’s a clean, nice atmosphere and the staff member that seated and served us was attentive and upbeat.

My partner and I had a lovely dinner here whilst staying at the Principal Hotel which is adjoined. We opted for some calamari, truffles and cream cheese stuffed peppers which were all incredible. For our mains we had the rib eye steak and fish & chips which really hit the spot and utterly delicious. Our servers were all very professional, polite and extremely friendly and made sure we were having an exceptional time. Fatou imparticular was outstanding and looked after us for the whole evening. We would highly recommend having lunch or dinner here. It's right by the train station and a great environment inside.

The atmosphere here is first class as was the knowledge and insight of our waitress. All the food was perfectly cooked if a little slow at the mains preparation stage with unexpected portion sizes (which we were notified of 😍). The fifth star was lost as lavender was not mentioned on the desert menu with the honeycake and that's the sort of ingredient you want to know about in advance! Gratuity ("freely given") also was included on the bill at point of print even though we would have ... Freely.... added one.

I stayed at the Milner Hotel for two nights and had breakfast there. Cesar does an awesome job making sure everything is perfect for the guests. Great breakfast!!! and you can order Expresso coffee without extra cost.

Cannot believe the bar staff. Sent us in to a private function to be served. 3 People stood talking behind the bar doing nothing other than talking to each other.
