What amazes me the most about Vue Paignton AKA Apollo cinema inside is that even with all the bad reviews on here, the company won't refit the place with proper seating like every other Vue cinema. Go to any Vue around the country and pay around the same price as the Paignton one and you will get proper value for money. Leather seats, full leg room, better screens, better food and free parking. All Vue did when they bought out the apollp cinema was change the outside logo and reception, That's all! If you check under the seating I bet there is old chewing gum from 1990 too.

Very small, quite uncomfortable seats. I'm only 5'3 and I couldn't sit properly without my knees hitting the chair in front of me, and I was worried that sitting up straight would completely obscure the view of the person behind me. There were also 2 lights that stayed on all the way through the movie, right in the middle aisle, one right above us, and this really ruined the cinema aesthetics. I'm glad I tried it, so I know that I wouldn't go back. Overpriced even for Vue's prices

Seats not very comfortable unless you are in the Directors screen but the most annoying complaint is not being able to contact the actual cinema to enquire as to lost property who I would of thought was just fundamental of a company providing this type of business, and as for the stupid AI recording to some obscure number . TOTAL RUBBISH not helpful. And don’t get me started on the snacks and confectionery prices are beyond outrageous £3.99 for tiny bag of popcorn rip off

By god why is it always so loud in there? As though you don't already have high quality surround sound speakers you always gotta crank it to 11. My brain always sends me a signal in there like nope, this is too loud, this kinda hurts, ouch. Really makes it hard to feel immersed and can make dialogue hard to interpret. Turns any horror trailer into a comedy essentially. I forget every time and have to go to the bathroom, get some tissue and bung it in my ears to be able to enjoy the feature. + why buy a tango ice blast for the film only for it to have melted once the 25min of trailers and BS are sat through? Stuff like this is why cinemas are failing. Lack of attention to the finer details.

I’ve lived in Paignton for 10+ years, this cinema was already outdated when I first moved here but it’s only deteriorated since.. For the past few years I’ve driven 30 minutes just to go to the Vue in Exeter because it’s so much better but decided to give this one another chance but it’s so sad to see it’s only gotten worse.. the seats are tiny and close together (imagine they used the same seat designer as most airlines) and the drinks aren’t even refillable like Exeter but same price…. Guess I’m going to continue driving 🚗

First and last time. If the seat next to me hadn't been empty I couldn't have sat down. I'm six foot and the legroom made it absolutely impossible to sit straight. Unbelievable in this century. Uncomfortable and cramped. The web site should carry a warning. Never again.

It was cheap... Only good thing to say. We were sat in screen 3; the screen was a lot smaller than expected, the seats were uncomfortable & when you put your arm on the rest the cup holders were sharp & hard, no foot room at all so we kept needing to stand up and every time the film went quiet you either heard the film in the screen next door or the cars outside... Definitely needs modernising and upgrading.
