Joeys Smokehouse

Probably the best restaurant that I’ve visited in the UK. Really good meat and nice and warm atmosphere with nice music. The food wasn’t expensive and it was so good. If you’re at Birmingham, do yourself a favour and go there.

Delicious food, the birria tacos are a must try, my favourite, mac and cheese is the best ive had - a lovely garlicky flavour on them, the chips are nice. The ribs and brisket is okay, ive had better, the ribs are better than the brisket. The sausages taste homemade, i appreciate the effort but has more a kebab flavour than sausage. The corn is okay, maybe a little less chargrilled would be better. Was excited for the burnt ends but they were quite chewy (or are they meant to be like that i dont know). The restaurant was quite smokey, i read that in the other reviews and its true, does stick to your clothes and hair but I guess it’s part of the vibe. The staff were so so kind and lovely, they took off the service charge without making it awkward. You do have to pay for parking with change as it doesn’t take card or online payment but the restaurant will give you change if you tap the card reader so thats helpful.

Newly opened (or at least newly halal) and very busy on a Saturday night. Proper smoker, very lovely place, nice atmosphere. Food was absolutely spot on alhamdulillah, portions were very good and great value, service was awesome and all the team were very friendly & paid attention to us. Bit of a wait which was completely understandable, so be prepare if you do go on a busy night, but they took very good care of us. Will be going again and recommending to friends. Absolutely outstanding experience. The food was next level – generous portions, beautifully presented, and packed with flavour. Every bite tasted freshly made and thoughtfully seasoned. The meats were perfectly cooked, tender and smoky, with sauces that complemented rather than overpowered. The sides were just as impressive, rich, comforting, and clearly not an afterthought. The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot to enjoy a proper meal without feeling rushed. Service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. Parking is a huge bonus – plenty of space and completely stress-free, which makes visiting so much easier. If you’re looking for somewhere that delivers on quality, flavour, and convenience, this place is an absolute must. Can’t wait to come back.

Kam... Brilliant customer service really friendly and was generally interested in what we had to say and our opinions. Food was well presented and definitely worth the wait which was about 15-20 minutes especially considering how busy it was. Reasonably priced aswell being around £20-30 would recommend.

Came in on a Tuesday evening with the family and had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the customer service was spot on. The staff were all upbeat, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Now the food… absolutely incredible! We ordered the Pit Master Platter and the Brisket Double Cheese — WOW. Every bite was packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend Joey’s for families, couples, or a night out with friends. Thank you to the entire Joey’s team for a fantastic visit!

Cam was amazing with helping out with the menuand chitchat. We had the mixed meats brisket and short ribs chicken cutlets were all amazing. Really well seasoned good quality meat. The sausages we didn’t like as they were very dry but that’s okay. The cornribs were nice. The house slaw was a little watery but okay the chips were flat. The Mac&cheese was very cheesy. The chef also came to check if everything was okay really liked that! Highly recommend

Went to Joeys Smokehouse yesterday! I have to say, WOW! One of the best smokehouses I have been to in a while and for me one of the best in Birmingham! Service was a 10 - Ask for KAM, amazing person he is and amazing customer service Food was a 10/10 for me!!! I would highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed 💯
